We recently attended the 2025 90 Minds Meeting of the Minds in Palm Springs. Here are some of our takeaways.
Wayne’s World
At the recent “Meeting of the Minds” consultant conference, Sage reinforced its commitment to Sage 100, an established ERP and accounting system widely used in North America.
Sage previewed several new integrations, highlighting their move toward tighter, more practical connections between Sage 100 and recently acquired products. These include Sage Supply Chain Intelligence (formerly Anvyl, acquired in October 2024), a two-way integrated supply-chain tool, and Sage Business Reporting (formerly Infineo, purchased by Sage France in September 2024), an Excel-based real-time reporting solution. Sage is also developing AP automation capabilities, based on technology from Lockstep (acquired in August 2022), to simplify accounts payable management and streamline purchasing.
Sage emphasized its upcoming customer-focused event, “Sage Future,” noting that the agenda currently appears heavily weighted toward Sage Intacct, another ERP offering in Sage’s portfolio. However, this agenda could evolve as the event date approaches, potentially including more Sage 100 content. Sage strongly encouraged Sage 100 customers to attend and participate, highlighting customer panels as valuable opportunities to learn about real-world experiences with these new integrations.

The Sponsor View
While Wayne attends the sessions and brings you answers to all the arguably important stuff, I’m experiencing the conference through the lens of someone who is there with the primary purpose of spending time with the members and helping my customers strengthen their partnerships. So my view of things is a little different.
Here are some of my thoughts on the event from a sponsor perspective (aka someone who didn’t attend a whole lot of sessions!).
The Expo
Back in the early days, Meeting of the Minds didn’t have an expo. Everyone just put some swag on one table in the back of the room for people to grab.
It’s come a long way since those days to a full-blown expo area with dedicated expo hours.
This year’s sponsors included some OGs that have been there since sponsorships were a thing, including DataSelf, CIMcloud, DSD, and ScanForce, plus some new(er) names, including Martus and Caveo Pay, long-time member Tom Nanci’s new venture.
Since MOTM is not open to end users, the conversations are different than what you’d see at something like Sage Future (today’s closest thing to Sage Summit). Many of the members have been working together with these sponsors for years, if not decades, so the conversations tend to be more around what’s new with the solutions, how to work together to ensure mutual customer satisfaction, and quite often, “how’s the family?”.
Former CIMcloud-ers Darcy Boerio (DAB Partners and ESE) and Brian Nunes (Sage) joined up for the patented pointing pose with the new guard, Brandon Brown and Michael Green.
Carla Brown (SWK), Jon Reiter (DSD), Susan Gill (DataSelf), and Mary Kaufman (Fortis) took time out from deep conversations about Business Intelligence to pose for us during the Expo.
That’s right…next year, it’s back to San Diego. Nothing against Palm Springs, but that city is where it all started, and many of us can’t wait to get back there together in March 2026!
It wouldn’t be an Expo without the bounty of swag! My personal favorite of which had to be…

Platinum Sponsors have a chance to present a session to the members. For a successful session, sponsors need to consider the audience and not just show and not do their usual “dog and pony show,” so we get some unique sessions that specifically cater to the interests of “The Minds”.
Advanced Networking
There were events each night for Advanced Networking, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Having missed MOTM last year, I was so eager to catch up with all my colleagues that I realize I neglected to take any photos from the opening reception, party by the pool sponsored by Summit Hosting (which had to be moved inside due to weather but was still a great time!), and last night casino night.
MOM Coffee / Women in Tech Gathering
What started out as some attendees getting together to warm up over warm drinks on a brisk San Diego day in 2017 has evolved into a full-blown scheduled annual event on the agenda known as “MOM Coffee – Women in Tech Gathering” with a dedicated lounge complete with a coffee drink bar members to get together and network with each other over warm libations.
The very first “MOM Coffee” in 2017
A little bigger in 2018!

*Special shout out to Lourdes Sobrino who has been traveling all the way from Puerto Rico to the west coast for many years to be at MOTM. She’s retiring soon and came out to join us for her last hoorah. We’ll miss you, Lourdes!
Congratulations to the Board of Directors, Executive Director Anne Sawyer, and the numerous committee volunteers who worked together to make our last year in Palm Springs a huge success!
